Detail-oriented and experienced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Administrator to manage and support the company’s EMR platform. The EMR Administrator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the configuration and ongoing maintenance of the EMR system. This role is crucial in ensuring that healthcare providers have reliable and secure access to patient data, all functions can occur efficiently, and compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards are maintained.
1. Team Communication:
- The EMR Administrator must communicate effectively with all administrators to ensure the EMR system is adequately supporting their roles and operations.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance Manager to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards, and to support all audit processes.
- Coordinate with Medical Director and Director of Clinical Operations to ensure system supports effective clinical services and accurate documentation.
- Coordinate with Director of Finance and Billing Department to ensure system is setup to maintain accurate billing, and financial aspects can be monitored.
- Coordinate with Director of Human Resources to ensure all staff functions monitored through the EMR platform are maintained.
2. System Management:
- Oversee the daily administration and operation of the EMR platform.
- Coordinates with HR to manage user access, roles, and permissions to ensure data security and appropriate access levels.
- Perform routine audits of system data, logs, and access to ensure integrity and compliance.
- Monitor implementation of system updates to ensure ongoing functionality.
3. Configuration and Customization:
- Configure workflows, forms, and modules within the system to meet organizational needs.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to optimize system functionality and workflows.
- Provide support in customizing reports, dashboards, and analytics for stakeholders.
4. Technical Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues.
- Provide end-user support and documentation related to systems conducted within the EMR platform.
- Collaborate with all team leaders to create and appropriately implement consistent training materials related to EMR tools, features, workflows, and processes.
- Collaborate with EMR support and technical teams to resolve complex technical issues.
5. Data Management and Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry, management, and synchronization across systems.
- Develop, manage, and run reports for clinical, billing, and operational needs.
- Utilize SQL to run queries, manage database operations, and generate reports as needed.
6. Technical Skills:
Required:
- Proficiency in SQL for querying databases and managing data operations.
- Efficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables) and Microsoft Word for data analysis and documentation.
Preferred:
- Experience with HTML for configuring system forms or templates.
- Familiarity with Python for automating tasks and handling data manipulation is a strong plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is typically expected, but equivalent work experience may be considered.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience working with EMR systems, preferably Credible.
- Experience in application/SaaS administration, user support, and healthcare IT.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance regulations.
Skills:
- Strong technical skills in EMR configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in database management, reporting tools, and data analysis, including knowledge of SQL
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
• Experience working in a behavioral health setting.
Certifications in healthcare IT or EMR system administration.
