A 15-year-old female who has shown a significant decline in grades and has been referred to the principal’s office for bullying behavior several times this school year.

A 10-year-old male is frequently found sitting alone and crying on the playground. He has become less verbal and refuses to participate in activities that he once enjoyed.

“The Families, Inc. school-based program is customized to fit the unique needs of each school that we serve. As a benefit to our contracted schools, Families, Inc. provides mental health services to every student in need regardless of payor source.”

At Families, Inc., we believe that to provide the most effective treatment we must first fully understand the unique and individualized needs of the client.  Our Mental Health Evaluation Process includes receiving a Psychiatric Evaluation by our medical staff, once the Intake Assessment has been completed by a licensed Mental Health Professional. This will provide the most comprehensive evaluation of each individual’s mental health needs at the time services begin.

Benefits of our Mental Health Evaluation process:

  1. Improve the quality of care and set each individual up for a better outcome.
  2. Psychiatric Evaluations will be used to:
    1. Further substantiate the diagnosis,
    2. Potentially identify a new diagnosis,
    3. Evaluate for medical conditions that will impact care or may lead to a referral to the PCP for Out of Scope concerns,
    4. When indicated, develop an individualized evidence-based medication regimen or determine if a pre-existing medication regimen is appropriate.

Families, Inc. also provides on-campus Crisis Intervention services for all students and faculty* from the individual crisis to the fully-involved, school-wide crisis - for all established clients, all students during school hours in schools in which Families, Inc. is on campus, and faculty/staff for school related events.
