Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is a key member of the Quality Assurance Team. The Quality Assurance Coordinator’s responsibilities impact the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the organization by supporting the Director of Quality Assurance and collaborating with the Quality Assurance Officer in all aspects of the department’s functions.

  1. Participates in Quality Improvement Team meetings and records minutes.
  2. Participates in Clinical Supervisor Meetings and records minutes.
  3. Reviews clinical reports and documentation to identify quality measures that are below standards and coordinates the needed corrective measures.
  4. Reviews 90-Day Staff Surveys and collaborates with Human Resources on possible process improvements as identified in the review. 
  5. Reviews staff compliance with Required Trainings and reports findings to the Director of Quality Assurance. 
  6. Assists the department with data collection and analyses for Internal Investigations.
  7. Collects, analyses, and formats data used in Internal Investigations. 
  8. Conducts Documentation Reviews for professional staff and identifies areas of improvement.
  9. Assists the Director of Quality Assurance with preparation of annual reports to regulatory agencies.
  10. Reviews after hours On-Call notes in Credible and collaborates with the Crisis Response Team Coordinator as needed to ensure proper documentation and follow-through.
  11. Facilitates correction of documentation and/or billing errors. 
  12. Collaborates with the QA Team regarding MHP Orientation. 
  13. Maintains and updates MHP Handbook and conducts MHP Training in the absence of the QA Officer.
  14. Reviews Audit Improvement Plans and acts as a resource to the Clinical Supervisor in addressing documentation deficiencies.
  15. Reviews, develops, and/or modifies policy and procedures as requested by the Director of Quality Assurance.
  16. Facilitates MHP Shadowing for newly hired MHPs.
  17. Assists in monitoring compliance with Medicaid/PASSEs, The Joint Commission, and other Federal/State regulatory requirements. 
  18. Other projects and duties as assigned. 

The Quality Assurance Coordinator needs to have a master's degree from an accredited University or College in social work, psychology, or counseling and licensed as a Mental Health Professional in the State of Arkansas. Experience in a training role or as a facilitator of group discussion is preferred.
