The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements, verifies financial records and transactions, analyzes cash flow, reviews budgets and forecasts, oversees audits, and develops paperwork for regulatory reporting.
Details
- Processes accounts payable.
- Processes independent contractor payroll and assists with employee payroll.
- Prepares financial statements and regulatory reporting documents.
- Analyzes financial reports
- Maintains account balances and bank statements.
- Assists with audits and payroll taxes.
- Prepares financial reports for taxes.
- Manages general ledger and assists with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assists the Director of Finance in preparing documents and interpreting complicated medical financial information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field required; Master’s degree a plus but not required. 5+ years of experience as an accountant. Microsoft Great Plains Accounting software required. Credible/Qualifacts electronic medical record experience is a plus.
JOB SKILLS
- Microsoft Great Plains Accounting Software experience required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
- Ability to retain confidentiality and to work professionally with clients, staff and outside agencies.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Payroll experience.
- Medical billing experience preferred but not required.
