Joy Davis, Licensed Professional Counselor, is the President and Owner of Families, Inc. Counseling Services. Joy began her professional career in mental health in Missouri, working primarily with the adult population, as a therapist/case manager. She then served as Clinical Director of a five county Community Mental Health Center, and worked in that capacity until moving to Jonesboro in 1991. In Arkansas, Joy worked as a therapist/case manager at George W. Jackson Community Mental Health Center. Joy also served as Director of Therapeutic Foster Care at Mid-South Health Systems before she made the decision to open Families, Inc. in 2000.
Joy earned her B.S in Education, her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and her EDS in Counseling Services, all from Arkansas State University.
In 2005, she was one of 29 women that were honored as "Northeast Arkansas Women Who Are Making Their Mark in Business" by the NEA Business Today. She previously served on the Board of Directors of Williams Baptist University in Walnut Ridge, AR and currently funds scholarships at WBU.
Joy spends much of her time with her church family at Family Fellowship Baptist Church with her primary focus being missions. Additionally, she is a big sports fan, be it baseball, football, hockey, or basketball. Another passion is music and she loves to sing, especially with her family. She also enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as traveling.
Joy has two children and eight grandchildren.
