Dr. Watson recently moved back to Jonesboro from New York City where she worked for four years in geriatric and health/rehabilitative psychology. Prior to her move to New York, she was the Director of the Community Based Rehabilitation Program at Counseling Services of Eastern Arkansas for five years, and worked in correctional and forensic psychology in Petersburg, VA while with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She has taught graduate and undergraduate courses at East Arkansas Community College, Southwest Missouri State University and Springfield College.
Beginning her education in Jonesboro, Dr. Watson received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Arkansas State University. She achieved her Master’s and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the APA Accredited Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, MO. In addition, Dr. Watson has specialized training in “Rational Living Therapy” through the National Association of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, is a certified Traumatic Brain Injury Specialist, and has earned state certifications in Virginia and Arkansas in Forensic Evaluation Training.
Dr. Watson and her husband Brian are proud new parents to baby Ella.
