We are happy to welcome and introduce Dr. Alicia Baros to the family!
Dr. Alicia Baros has joined Families, Inc. as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Jacksonville. Dr. Baros earned a doctorate in pharmacology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis TN and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in research addiction medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina where she was appointed Research Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. During her post-doctoral fellowship she completed an Associate’s Degree in Nursing to aide in her research. As she began applying theory to practice she went on to complete a Masters in Nursing at the University of South Alabama and currently is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She refined her clinical practice collaborating with the prestigious psychiatrists at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where she served as an Advanced Practice Partner and Instructor in the Department of Psychiatry providing clinical services on the psychiatric inpatient units and outpatient clinic.
